They also cut the number of pages with the Jan. issue and changed the
styling of the magazine.  Notice that it no longer says on the cover,
"Devoted Entirely To Amateur Radio"

QST is essentially Popular Electronics now.  the "real hams," folks
who build stuff and operate HF are no longer the sole intended
audience.   I imagine ARRL is in survival mode, the 40 or 50 on the
payroll doing whatever they think is needed to keep the money coming
in.

Not surprisingly, the eHam QST reviews approve of all this.
