[Boatanchors] OT. Need hot air station advice

OK, need some advice here. One of my two TYT TH-9800 quad band radios
died after about 18 Months use.  Apparently a 28 pin smd chip failure
(after I bought them I found out it's not unusual).  I have a VERY nice
dual soldering iron temp controlled solder station, but even the finest
skinny needle tip is too large for this task.  Yeah, when I bought the
station I could have had it with one iron and a hot air gun, didn't
figure I'd ever need it :(

Here are a couple different products I'm looking at, one with hot air
only, and one with an iron AND hot air.  Not adverse to paying extra for
the iron I may not need IF the Kendal is a better unit overall. The unit
probably WON'T get a lot of use here. . .

Anyone here have experience with either of these units (or a similar
priced one)?  If I have to pay much more to get something that lasts I
will probably just forget the whole thing and maybe scrap the radio
(saving the head and mic for spares).

NOTE:  I buy from Amazon, but NOT eBay.
