[Boatanchors] Letter Q

As long as this thread has been strung out more than it needs to, I'll add
another tidbit. The letters I and O are missing from the alphabet for the
Military Grid Reference System (map coordinates). Too easy to confuse with
numerals one and zero. This presented an interesting challenge back in the
days when I was working on GPS equipment, with key pads, for the Army and
Marine Corps. Boat anchor connection? In those days, a GPS receiver could
fill a full ATR case with a combination of discrete components and ICs.
Amazing how now it's come down to a single chip. Mike, W6MAB
