Nice to see a CAI manual, especially of that linear amp.
I worked as CAI in the early 1980’s, almost up to their closing. I was hired to develop their solid-state next generation 1 KW linear amplifier, to replace the CL-36. The 1 KW output solid-state linear I designed was interfaced with the CAI synthesized commercial HF transceiver, using the digital synthesizer control signal to switch the amplifier output low-pass filter bank to the proper band.
Somewhere in my paper archives I have the photos and the manual of that solid-state 1 KW linear.
I never found any surplus/used examples of either the solid-state synthesized transceiver nor any of the amplifier models (there was also an older model with 813’s), or any of their tube receivers, transmitters or transceivers.
The only CAI product I found at a hamfest years ago is a small 4 channel crystal controlled tube SSB/CW mobile transceiver with a pair of 6146 output tubes, but I could never find any documentation for it.
