That's actually LBAD, which is Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot (formerly LSD
for Lexington Signal Depot, renamed in the early 60's for probably obvious
reasons). The serial number was assigned arbitrarily by LBAD. The LBAD
serial number won't help any if you are looking at a change notice that
gives serial and order numbers. If you knew the original serial number, it
wouldn't help any unless you also knew the original order number. The name
of the original contractor was also lost when they deep sixed the original
nameplate.

The R392 on eBay has a tag that says it's serial number is LEAD=48. Has
anyone a clue

to what this means? Also, there is no manufacturer specified but there is a
clear & somewhat

bold red US Army QA stamp right at the label. The eBay number is
153157252172.

Inquiring minds ...

Thanks,
