Try using an Xacto knife to bend out the sides of the plugs. Slip the
tip of the knife blade under each of the four sides of the plug and
use it to pull them out a bit. Then the plug may grip the jack
better.
There are different sizes of banana plugs but if you have the wrong
size the plug won't come close to fitting.
