Doug, Fair Radio has a power supply that they say can run an R-392, and they also have the power connector. Yes, the price for the power supply and connector aren't cheap, but these are really good receivers.

I've had my R392 for 25 years or thereabouts.  It works well, even on SSB.

Originally I took an old tube socket apart and used the contacts to
connect power and speaker.  Afterwards I saw that Fair Radio had the
connectors for about $20 so I eventually got one.

I'm powering it with a surplus 24 volt voltage and current regulated
supply.  It limits at 5 amps so the tube filaments come up gradually.  I
built a speaker box for it that also holds the power supply and a 600 to
8 ohm matching transformer for the speaker.

If you need any, I have some spare 26A6's.  I also have a non-working
392 for parts.

Feel free to contact me for more conversation.
