Some websites go down for a few days.  Maybe not eBay but smaller
sites that aren't generating barges of cash for their owners and are
more a service to special interests like hobbies.   I'd start to worry
if it goes off-line for more than a week.  bandconditions.com vanishes
occasionally because of hosting problems.  Some websites get hacked
and go down and it takes a while to bring them back.   Running your
own server with high bandwidth ISP is no longer this thing done by a
lone geek with a rack in a bedroom closet.  The knowledge needed to
maintain a modern host with strong cyber security is a full time job
and something best done by professional IT people.  An amateur can
make it work but it will turn into a malware server and spam bot in a
matter of hours.
