[Boatanchors] Unknown PI Coils

Brian,
I finally got sorted out the total pile of swap meet plug-in coils that
included the unknown coils we have been discussing. It turns out that some
in the pile are Signal Shifter coils. In order to get my money back out of
these, I put some of them, including all the Signal Shifter type coils, on
eBay last night. If you are interested in these, here is the eBay URL for
them:

Of course, I'm still looking for information on the unknown coils and hoping
to find the two missing RF coils from the set. Incidentally, the forms for
the highest frequency coils are grooved to accept the heavy gauge wire, and
this must have been done on a lathe.

Upon closer review, you are right. They aren't Meissner coils. Whoever made
them did a great job though. They are nice enough to warrant building a
receiver that can use them as-is.
