Pete, if you're in Australia, how about the the AR-7, which was an Australian copy of the HRO? There's some information on it in the website I sent to you earlier.

Subject: [Boatanchors] HRO receivers

G'day  list....I've  quit  my  R-390A  receivers  and now  languish for
more  info  before trying to  acquire  a  HRO .  Some years  back  I  had
advice  from  Rodger  WQ9E but  emails  to his  address  undeliverable .
If  the list  has  a  reference  as to  whom  I  should  look to  for
advice---- including the traps  for new  players-  and  source of
supply, I  would  be  happy to  read suggestions Thanks Pete VK3IZ ______________________________________________________________
