Several people have asked about the results of Jim
Sargent's radio auction in Garland yesterday.
Not much ham stuff this time, but he very often
has it. Gotten some nice goodies there for
reasonable non-Ebay prices. Jim's auction is like
the "anti-Ebay" :-D. I really like the "floor
lots" that (read: dirty old boxes full of all
kinds of junk) which typically sell for 5-10 bucks
and have all sorts of treasures and surprises in
them. They aren't listed in the "official"
on-line list and are sold first thing before the
main auction to those physically present.
You can find yesterday's results at:

("f***r" means "Floor Bidder," someone physically
present).
The DeForest 15-panel (lot 280) had a reserve of
5,000 and got no bids. The beautiful DeForest
RS-501 sold for $3630.
Proof that sometimes people got more money than
sense ;-) Two flats of tubes that went for over
$900 each:

I did find a doghouse for my HRO-5A. He will have
a couple of ham estates at the next one, first
week of June. Jim's a good guy.
