[Boatanchors] DX-100 problems - repaired...

Gang,

There were several problems including:

1. an intermittent and sticky  meter switch which Really threw me off. It
indicated problems that I did not have.

2. A bit of arcing in the tank circuit. Carbon tracks cleaned. OK now. No
apparent damage.

3. D-104 microphone Amphenol connector worn and PTT switch was in the
process of failing.

Ad infinitum.

Advice - when utilizing manual antenna switching as I do REMEMBER proper
sequencing! Especially with coaxial switches that are designed to  "short
to ground" when a specific port is NOT selected!

Problems were 89% my fault.





Took all of your suggestions and they were a BIG help.
