[Boatanchors] Frequency Counter for BA Use

My trusty Optoelectronics K 7000 counter went on the fritz. 
It was the perfect counter for my situation. I am wondering if 
any of you have some recommendations on a small frequency 
counter useful from 'DC' through 2 meters....I could get by with 
100 mhz max. Also would need to be able to hook it into a circuit 
rather than just have antenna input. Good accuracy and bright 
readout also a plus. I don't have room for a large, Military or 
commercial type. 

I have seen numerous ebay postings of the Victor VC3165 counter 
at various prices (new). Anyone know anything about this one?
