[Boatanchors] My unknown 1920s receiver

I traced out the circuit of the supposedly UV-199 receiver that I obtained a few days ago.  The UV-199 was just put in there because the tube socket is not wired for the UV-199.  It is wired for the WD-12 and a number of the small envelope 01A type of tubes.  A "normal" 01A, etc., will not fit the hole in the panel as well as being too tall to fit between the socket and the panel.  By the way, the UV-199 has an open filament and none of the usual "fixes" for apparent open filaments (most of the early tube pins were soldered with acid core solder and often, when a filament appears open, resoldering with resin core solder "fixes" the problem) worked!  But, the tube is still good for display purposes.


The circuit is a bit strange to me!  However, as wired, it does appear that the circuit is for a regenerative receiver.  However, with a couple of minor wiring changes, the receiver would become a TRF.
