[Boatanchors] The Silence of the Bands.

I agree Bob, condx's are just plain bad. And, add that to the lack of new CW ops on the bands makes it even worse. I only work CW and I pay little attention to the phone portion of the band.

After being a ham, working on my 53rd year, I have seen much better condx's and that makes it bad in another aspect...

Things will improve this winter(some). Thats why I concentrate on the low bands...Thats what we gotta do. Rcv only antennas and better Tx antennas...Being a older ham, I can't wait on to many more 11 year cycles...Also, the prop prognosticators don't paint a rosey pix for the future...Hal/WB4AEG

I am INDEED in my late 60s. So far I am NOT one that has to take a nap

to be up past 9PM.

I also have an HF NESDR system. It provides essentially a "Spectrum

View" of any HF bands!

It also has shown a lack of activity! Granted, it IS a vertical antenna

- BUT is on the second floor.

Band conditions have been horrible! Last year this was NOT the case!

This year that HAS been the case!
