I'm beginning to think a lot of it is lack of activity too. The other 
night on 40 CW, I worked EA6NB who had an excellent signal into Arizona 
and I'm just running a KW to a vertical. No big beams here.

Finished with him and there was nothing else on the band. For Arizona to 
Europe in the summer you need to have half way decent cndx.

Sad.
