Until 1959 or thereabouts Hawaii was a Territory. TH=Territory of Hawaii.
The novel From Here to Eternity has a scene in which a sign containing the
term is mentioned.

History buffs......
I am in the process of restoring a Vibroplex(?) "bug" carry case, from an SK
estate. The usual black, covered wooden box, needs some glue here and there
and TLC.
I would like to find a lock key for it if available or a known source, ALSO,
when working on the
insides I found a small typewritten paper label. It reads: R. C. Clepper
Puunene Maui
T H
KMZR
9/20/43
I am assuming Mr(?) Clepper was a service person.
Can anyone advise what "T H" is? Hawaii? Also is KMZR a call sign?, part
of the address?
Military call? Radio station?(I doubt that)...Before my radio time. Any
info?
Dunno how it got to western Kansas.

Thanks,
Rod

I would interpret Maui T H as Maui Telecommunications Hawaii.
There could be another interpretation.
