[Boatanchors] OT: Need schematic for Samlex RPS1215 PS

Hi,

Looking for a schematic or manual pdf of a Samlex RPS1215 PS.

A ham friend brought one (15-20 Amp PS) to me for repair. Usually I find 
Power Supplies a fairly easy 'fix', I've probably done hundreds of them.

Anywhoo, this one was blowing fuses and I quickly found that the 10 Amp 
diodes on the regulator board were shorted.  The big honkin' bridge 
rectifier was good.

I replaced the 100PIV 3Amp axial lead diodes on the board with a pair of 
similar (but 100PIV 10 Amp) diodes.  Put in a new fuse, checked it out 
and the critter put out a regulated 13.8V like it should.

Put the "load tester" (a modified auto battery load tester) on it and 
slowly brought the current up.  As soon as the current reached 10 Amps 
(it's rated 15A continuous, 20 Amp peak) the fuse again blew and this 
time the big honkin' main bridge rectifier was shorted, the two on the 
board that I replaced were OK.  I don't have that bridge rectifier and 
need to order some.

But I can't just keep stuffin' rectifiers in it, I need to find the REAL 
reason it's acting up.  By the way, this seems to be much more cheaply 
made than the typical Astron Supply which I'm VERY familiar with.

At this point the owner told me to just part it out as he's bought a new 
Astron, but I WOULD like to fix it and give it back as a spare if I could.

Problem is, I've done a pretty thorough Google search for a schematic 
(or other info).  Only thing that turned up was some schematics for 
Samlex products with similar model numbers in the UK, but they ARE NOT 
the same thing, their usually battery chargers or similar products, 
nothing the same circuit wise.  I just hate to let something as simple 
as a PS get the better of me . . .
