[Boatanchors] Question On Installing a Noise Limiter Adapter Unin for TCS Receivers - USS Wisconsin

I'm in the process of installing the Noise Limiter Adapter Kit in our TCS receiver. In the instruction it says to remove a yellow wire from the "top tap" of the audio pot...well the wire colors have faded out..so my question is which tab on the pot get removed for the installation? Is it the wiper contact?
