[Boatanchors] BC-453A tuning knob

I bought a BC-453 off ebay to add to my boatanchor collection. I have a
power supply (alternative use:  to power a WWII Iconoscope TV camera).
I don't have it yet.

The plugs are readily available. But the tuning knob seems to bve a strange spline thing.
As best as I can tell a ARC 6743 knob will fit, at least to an extremely similar radio.

Do these exist? Can they easily be replaced with something else?

If not, it sure looks to me that its going to be a very machine shop job.
