The front panel paint, on my HT-20, is peeling especially around the mounting screws for the cabinet.  However, I guess I am very lucky, but the bezel is still perfect.  It is s/n 11.

The serial no. on mine is over 300 and on the side of the chassis is
stamped "RUN 1."
It had the tell-tale early production warped pot metal bezel and
peeling front panel paint that  I understand later units lacked.  My
hunch is the production total was at least a few hundred more than
300.  They may not have all been sold to hams.  Hallicrafters intended
it to be marketed to and used by gov't and other entities.
