[Boatanchors] RAK on HF

Hi,

Have any of you good people (or not so good) used a converter ahead of a 
RAK receiver to use it against 160, 80, 40 meters, etc? The RAK as built 
won't receive wide enough for phone reception and I don't plan to defeat 
the filters. It would be for CW/digital only. I am thinking about using 
something like that in the CX classic exchange (or other) against the 
Johnson Ranger (the oldest TX I have). Are there better radio sets 
available. You bet. Will it be fun. It seems like it would be. No mods 
needed in the RAK :)
