WES is fun for me this weekend. HOW providential that the darn RTTY contest drove so many CW ops up above 7100 kHz where us "NOVICES" operate?!!


I got on last night and this morning using my "NEW" Drake Twins 2NT and 2C in preparation for the upcoming Novice Rig Roundup. Got my 7113 crystal plugged in and called CQ a few times. BINGO. I started making WES contacts all over the USA from Arizona to New England, MI etc. from here in FL. Not bad!


THANK YOU to everyone who has called me so far - 28 contacts with 50 watts to a 4BTV vertical, ground mounted. Not bad. Lots of compliments on my clean signal. YAY!
