The use of Armor All on anything that you ever intend to paint or touch 
up is not a good idea - the paint and the silicone repel each other.  
The only thing I know of that will remove a silicone is one of the old 
Freon refrigerants, like R-12, and that ain't a good idea either.  I've 
had the longest lasting results with leather conditioners like Tannery 
leather and vinyl cleaner/conditioner, but some of the other leather 
products seem okay, too.  WD-40 doesn't hurt, but it doesn't last long.  
In the old days hams used kerosene on black wrinkle finishes, but it 
doesn't have a very pleasant odor.

If you try something, use a microscope on the valleys and you'll see 
whether it does any real cleaning/coating or not.  That's the bottom 
line for me.
