R390A mods used to be a big industry, but seem rare these days. The fad must be over,
I'm just a bit late. But I always hated the AGC action of mine on SSB or CW. I did the Lankford
mod and it helped, but only a bit.
So I experimented and came up withy my own, which includes a major limiter change
to pure manual that goes from absolutely no limiting to completely cut off (except
capacitive feedthrougth.) The limiter change is all done on the front panel.
The AGC change offers three speeds, and zero "dead time" since it removes the tube amplifier.
