[Boatanchors] Kelvin Electronics Novice Rig

I got lucky and grabbed an unbuilt still in box one as a buy it now item on ebay earlier this year and it will get built this winter.   I was going to ebay to search for a connector I needed for some Tektronix gear and it had just been listed for $65 so I grabbed it.  I believe they were sold to schools for the Vo tech program but I had never run across one before.



I will report back on building and operation after the first snow falls.  Right now I am tied up with getting outside projects done before winter and currently looking for three small kittens I rescued from a field before they got combined.  They are currently hiding, probably asleep, somewhere in the radio room right now.  Fortunately two of them will be going to a new home later this week but my soon to be 13 year old daughter is keeping one as a birthday present ?  Kitten sitting is about as tiring as having infants.

Just wondering if anyone has seen one of these. One just sold on eBay
(made a bid, but it went outside my comfort zone). A manual is on
BAMA. Neat looking 'lil rig. Anyone on the list the lucky bidder?

The Amateur Band Transmitter (Stock No. 153-03) is a crystal
controlled C.W. (Continuous Wave-Telegraphy) 50 watt
transmitter kit operating on both the 80 and 40 meter "ham"
bands. A crystal oscillator/amplifier stage and a final
output stage combining with plug-in coil make this an
excellent transmitter kit for the beginner or Novice
operator. Both mechanical and electrical construction is
made simple by the use of a full-size chassis drilling
template, stage-by-stage wiring pictorials and schematic
diagram.
