Galaxy Electronics recommended some sort of visual matching when
replacing tubes. You could also buy from them a set of "matched" tubes
for under $30. I believe the manual also mentions that the AC fuse might
occasionally blow when transmitting or tuning up. There were two versions
of the the amplifier. The 2000B used 6LB6's; the 2000+ used 6HF5's.
Neither amplifier was very clean. But, it was the 60's, and no one really
cared yet for really clean RF amplifiers.
