[Boatanchors] D.A.T.A./PAL Software???

Several years ago, I had a friend who had a copy of the D.A.T.A./PAL 
software.  As I recall, it gave you the ability to pull up a list of 
semiconductors with a given set of parameters (HFE, etc.).

I have been trying unsuccessfully to find the vendor of this software so 
I could get a copy.  I'm guessing that it is no longer published, since 
I think it ran on WinXP.
Does anyone know about this product, and if it is still available? If 
not, does anyone know of an alternative product with the same or similar 
capabilities?
