[Boatanchors] What is this "Tuning Tool" called??? Another long ramble. . .

Good morning Jim,
Thank you for the info.  I no longer have any of the old ARRL handbooks, 
though I keep my eyes open when in the old bookstores. Like the idiot I 
am, I gave away a couple old handbooks I had to a neophyte boatanchor 
enthusiast ;-)

In browsing through the "Radiotron Designer's Handbook, 3rd ed" I bought 
yesterday I "rediscovered" stuff I'd forgotten many, many years ago.  
Think I'll study that one in depth, though rather than reading the small 
print in the book I'll probably read one of the the PDF files I have. . .

If I can't find one of those 'wands' on Amazon I'll probably make my 
own.  It CAN'T be all that difficult.
