There is a seller on ePay selling used (!) bumble bee caps for $150 / pair.
BUT, he admits they test out of 'normal' however, he said they are $40 less than his usual price.
Good grief, I must have thrown away a million dollars over the years.
My conscience would NEVER forgive me... maybe.

Don,
Just my opinion:
If someone offered a NEW IN THE CRATE, that means UNopened, MINT R-390/URR for sale it would not be worth $3000, but of course, the price of any radio is what someone will pay for it. Some one might pay $3000 for a pristine R-390/URR, but don’t count to it.
I assume what is in question is the R-390/URR, what some of us call the “non-A” R-390.
Of course, museums don’t pay that kind of money for anything. Maybe if you found a mint example of the aerial camera used in the Enola Gay, they *might*, but I doubt it.
PS: If you do find folks willing to pay $3000 for a R-390/URR, let me know. I have more than one.
Some folks are fools.
