[Boatanchors] Ceramic Plug-In Coils

Would anyone here know what rig these coils may have been built for?

They are 3.5"H x 1.75"D, non-ribbed and each one has at least two taps. An 
inner decal indicates: Wilkox Electric, Kansas City.
