At HamCom in Dallas today, I found a cool little
Forest Service radio built by Northern Radio Company,
called a "Type 450" which came from a forest worker
in Alaska. 1960s Transistor/Tube hybrid.
6 Crystal controlled channels. 455 KC IF.
Callsign penciled on it: "BLM 139341"
I traced the primary power and can light it up.
Audio stages are working.
The previous owner had it marked "10 and 15 meters"
but the coils in it sure don't look like 10 meters.
Appears to run on 6 VDC Battery.
Nothing on Google. Does anyone have any information
on this neat little rig? Photos at:

Do have the case just forgot to take a photo.
Anything? Please?
