My guess is that Norm has rich text turned on. For some reason, at least some of these QTH lists don't like rich text, and sending a message with it turned on in the email client results in a blank message. Switching to plain text usually helps it get through. Not sure about Norm's email client, but the Verizon online email client has a link in the formatting bar marked "Plain Text" which does the trick.
