That's true Rob....
Howard....if you get them from RF Parts...be sure to test them in your amp
immediately on receiving them.
If you test them a month later and find a problem....RFP is reluctant to
replace them until they interrogate you to be sure that you "know what you
are doing".
I mention this because it happened to me and I was pretty pissed at them for
while.
Usually if there is a problem they will arc as soon as you turn on the
power.
Other than that...they are ok and the tubes are as good as any available
today.

Define Quality.   Do you want new?  Are you looking for more Cetrons?
Do you want a guarantee or a warranty?  If you want American brands you
pretty much have to go with hamfests, eBay and used tube dealers or
something like swap.qth.com and take a chance.  If you want new and a
warranty, you have to go with RF Parts.  Richardson, Surplus Sales and RKR
don't have them.  RF Parts will sell you something from China.
Since it is a RF amp and not a modulator and you only need spares I'd get
the ones from RF Parts and call it a day.  You don't really need a "matched
set" for that.
