Thanks to all who replied so quickly!

Jeff, N2LXM was the first whose reply I saw offering to mail me one free. Thanks also to W4TAS, K5AJZ, and one chap who did not give his call. I have a friend here in OKC who is an engineer at International Crystal
and their price for a new 1 MHz crystal was over $70!

The socket for this "optional" crystal is a "standard" socket that fits
the HC-6/U and similar crystals.

A 100 kHz crystal is standard and mounted inside the XCU-27 enclosure. The
1 MHz crystal is optional and very helpful when used with a general coverage
receiver.

Again, thanks to all for the quick, accurate, and generous help!
