[Boatanchors] SM-220

Jeff -

As far as I know, there is no direct replacement for the CRT in the
SM-220. I happen to have two of them, both with the BS-8 band scope
option, and someday I will dig them out and put them on one of the
auction sites, but not today.

The CRTs in both of mine are dim, and I looked into the replacement
issue some years ago. At that time I decided that a 3RP1 CRT could be
made to work but (if I am remembering correctly) the change would
require a different CRT socket, and of course some wiring adjustments.

I have not considered a LCD option, but if you could figure out how to
do it, that might be a good choice.

Good luck with the project.
