[Boatanchors] [Glowbugs] Need Conar 400 transmitter Modifications

The Conar 400 transmitter still chirps, to high heaven, when disconnected from the AC mains, put in a box, which is then put in the farthest corner of the attic!  At least it seems so!

Yes, I do have a like new Conar 400.

There are modifications that result in a reasonable signal on at least 80-meters and 40-meters.  Getting rid of the chirp on 15-meters requires a considerable amount of work with many examples and there are still examples that chirp no matter what!

Subject: [Glowbugs] Need Conar 400 transmitter Modifications

Gang,
Have a Conar 400 Transmitter that I am rebuilding for my son.
If I remember correctly there are a few mods out there to improve the crystal oscillator and I forget what else.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
I already have the mod info for the Conar receiver. That job is done.
