So is he looking for both or one or the other? Or do you have two buddies?
For AM, the Courier is probably a poor choice for the Ranger. A pad would be
required between the Ranger and Courier to drop the drive power down or the
Ranger final would have to be run on the low voltage supply. One could also
drop the screen voltage down to reduce Ranger output. The best you can do
with the Courier safely running 811A's would be around 100 watts carrier.
The Thunderbolt is a bit better on output on AM. Should be able to get
around 200 watts carrier. Depending on how you run it, a pad may also be
required between the Ranger and Thunderbolt. External relay switching needs
to be provided to switch the cut-off bias.
I have one of each but I generally use low power (25 watts or less) SSB
transceivers to drive them. An Apache or DX-100 on AM puts out as much
output power as a Ranger/Courier within a few watts.

My local restoration buddy is looking for a clean Courier amplifier to drive
with his Ranger. If you have one for sale or know of one please let me
know.
