[Boatanchors] OT: Radio Australia dropping their shortwave service.

I know that there are others here who do some SWLing. So here goes.

Glenn Hauser posted an email to one of my SWL groups indicating that
Radio Australia will be dropping their shortwave service effective 31
Jan 2017 because it's an obsolete mode. They'll be concentrating on
installing more FM stations in areas of the country not serviced well at
the present, as well as possibly a greater FM and Internet outreach
elsewhere.

I'll sorely miss the service as it was my number one Shortwave station!

Last time I sent them a Reception report via email (a couple years ago)
they replied that they no longer sent QSL cards out.

Unfortunately I deleted Glenn's email before I saved the link to the
Station's announcement , so I can't post it here.
