Thanks again for your input. I would like to order qty 2 of the GK-9-32S connectors you mentioned. Do you know of a supplier?
We are also are in the hunt for a remote head (CCY-2370) for our TCS Receiver. I am asking everyone to please keep a look out for one, it would be appreciated.

    Bill,

Some 35 years ago when I replaced the selenium 12VDC rectifier with a silicon bridge, I did not find any need to add a resistor.  The relays in the TCS transmitter will run OK on about 11 to 14 VDC.  Most vehicular electrical systems are set to around 13.8 VDC.  

At the time, I did not replace the tube rectifiers with silicon.  I probably would today, if possible with the plug-in units.  I don't think that any resistor would be required for the transmitter supply as it is only a nominal 400 VDC to begin with.  In the receiver supply, I would probably use a zener diode instead of a resistor.

I did bridge the (I think 8 ufd) filter capacitors with 20 ufd 600 VDC electrolytics.

And I removed the front mounted spare fuse holder and install and wire in the GK-9-32S remote connector so that the thing is equivalent to all of the many other TCS power supplies.  Otherwise, there is no access to the 600 ohm audio output line.

I don't have our TCS pair  here at QTH so I can't put the correct load on the P/S and know what series resistor value is correct. Also did you solid state the 6X4's? If so again what series resistor value did you use?
