Nick - but if really wanted a piece of history you should have gotten  this
scope on the left   one of  3  used on a  scr  268  early ww 2  radar..
do not know if the inline pix  go though but there are  links  included too.
 
 
I imagine  many of these were on the surplus market  after  the  war... 
they are primitive and  WEIGH A TON!

WE HAVE 2 of the three scopes........ 
 
see in photo below the central main electronics  unit?
one in  crate  actually  showed up on ebay...... but  eons ago!

Small but  very nice hamfest in northern VA - seemed like plenty of vintage
gear at  reasonable prices. I came home with an R-1051G ($150) and several
URC-32  modules ($0).
Nice shady fairgrounds & friendly folks. Last year's  numbers were 200
tailgaters, 25 inside dealers, and 1500  attendees.
