Bry,

Give the bandswitch a good contact cleaning.

Just don't soak the wafers!

This would be a good use for the De-Oxit Pen.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Troubleshooting linear amplifier

I wonder if anybody can give me any tips on troubleshooting a nonresident part network in a TENTEC Centurion 422 amplifier.

It does not seem to resonate of the right frequency. I have tried many things and is coming down to possibly being a bad band switch but how do you troubleshoot that in place?
The coupling caps are OK. The plate and load tuning caps are tuning OK. It just doesn't resonate on any band.

Best regards - Brian Carling
