[Boatanchors] 813 grid to filament short

I have a home brew AM rig with 4 x 813's (2 rf and 2 mod). The 813's 
are mounted horizontally as specified. The rig has been getting a 
good workout over the last few days with excellent 21MHz conditions. 
It runs  400W of carrier and 1500W PEP.

Today one of the modulator 813's has developed an intermittent short 
between grids and filament.

I was just wondering if this is common failure for old 813's.
