[Boatanchors] Speaking of cheap stuff (was harbor freight and soldering guns)

The mfj 113 clock is just under $20.  That clock runs from 120 VAC and has a battery backup.  I have an original mfj-116 which is no longer available.  Instead, there is the mfj-116D that runs from 12 VDC instead of 120 VAC like the original 116.
The clocks are NOT made by mfj!  Instead, they are manufactured "off shore" and, as such, are not subject to the usual quality control problems.
My mfj clock is the only mfj item that I have that did not come with problems!  I have had it for several years and it just keeps working!

Can anyone point me to a decently reliable clock for use in the shack?

I am tired of buying cheap quartz battery powered clocks and having
them quit on me or need a new battery every six months or so.  If
there is any way to get a good old time electric clock like what
everyone used in the 1960s I'd like to know about it.
