Phil,
Being perfectly honest, I don't see why the wife does some of these things!
She squawks about money all the time, and lord help me if I spend over
some mystical number.
Yet she has taken it upon herself to remove the CFLs and put LED
lighting in its place.
I use an LED magnifying lamp on my small work table. I just had to use
a capacitor to get rid of the very harsh RFI hash the power supply was
generating.
Just a couple of cents worth if that, in terms of what I had into some
wild number of them obtained from one of Brad Thompson Blivets.
Most likely tenths of a cent or so.
The lamp sure makes the old peepers happy! I can see so much better
when I get into those surface mount parts and boards!
I just see more useful parts, less to procure, and less squawking over
how many rupees or rubles spent.
I ought to go hunting for an RDF receiver from an old Cherokee or Cessna
that has been crumpled and is being robbed of parts.
Then I could give a hand at receiving the LF part of the world.
Regards, Bob - N0DGN
