The original question was mine about a failure in an 813 AM home brew 
rig. Unfortunately somebody turned this in to an argument about the 
use of PEP. They also chose to use various derogatory terms such as 
plastic radio and slop bucket and appliance operators. No wonder the 
AM crowd often has a bad reputation. A little courtesy please and 
little more AM activity!
