[Boatanchors] Collins scope?

A quick check for Collins build of that era is the red paint that QA
placed on all of the soldered connections.
Or at least I think that it was QA that did it.
I once got a KWM-2 carcass third hand and after a lot of parts had been
removed.
During mt deconstruction of what was left, I found why the radio had failed.
There was a connection to a tube socket that had never had solder AND it
had the red paint indicating that it had been checked.
So much for that idea for QA.
My bet, if the scope had been properly inspected to determine if real
Collins, the assembly might have been good, but, not up to Collin's
standards.

Mated to a 75S-3A receiver, the performance was "so-so". Frankly, of no real use to me. A west coast amateur radio operator found out that I had the unit and traded me an excellent condition 32S-1 transmitter for the SB-620. I definitely believe that I got the better end of the deal!
