My favourite is Ersin Multicore 60/40, .062 diameter. My next choice is 
Kester but any rosin core 60/40 alloy will do. Just watch out for 
pricing. Mouser has better pricing than some of the vendors on Ebay. 
Especially for 62/36/2 (2 percent silver alloy) which is great on silver 
plated connectors.

Then there are the audiophools that spend vast sums on Western Electric 
or specially treated solder...It's supposed to sound better ;-))
