      FWIW, I got another maker's version of this and researched what 
kind of oil to use in it.  I think the original instructions specified 
transformer oil but most of that had PCBs in it.   I found that plain 
old mineral oil is fine.  The cheapest place to get it seems to be tack 
shops or animal feed stores since it is used as a supliment for horses 
(supposed to prevent colic).  Still not cheap but much less than buying 
a quart at a time from the drug store.
