Are you looking for ways to modify an original receiver (not many of those 
left) or demodify one?  If the former, keep in mind that many if not most 
"conversions" actually resulted in poorer rather than improved performance.  
For example, a common mistake made in many was the failure to realize that 
the chassis is not at B- potential.
